PANS/PANDAS

PANS/PANDAS is defined as a developmental disorder that ranges in severity. It includes impairments in language, sensory development, social interaction, and behaviour. The DSM-V diagnosis criteria for PANS/PANDAS does not consider the medical conditions that are at the root cause of the developmental disability that is diagnosed. For every checklist item on the PANS/PANDAS diagnosis checklist, there can be a medical reason for the symptom. When addressed, symptoms of that checklist can get better. Many are caused by an accumulation of environmental triggers. These triggers can turn on a genetic predisposition to the condition.

We use a number of diagnostic lab tests to help us understand exactly what is going on in your child’s body. Clearing toxins, rebuilding the gut and immune system and providing the body with the right nutrients are the baseline of our treatment. We take the time to listen, ask questions and get a full understanding of your child's health picture. We take an active part in the Autism healing community, attending conferences and reading up on the latest literature so that we may provide all of our patients with the best therapies to create a custom protocol for your child.
